When ordering a guitar from Mark, he will get to know your genre of music and playing style first, in order to understand what style of guitar and materials will make the best instrument to suit your style. Do you play classical music, bluegrass, or jazz? Do you play more rhythm, or lead?
Next, Mark will take the time to study all aspects of the woods he’ll use, and craft the instrument based on the thickness of wood, width of the grain, and size of the guitar, all to create the perfect instrument for the sound that best suits your playing style.
Most Bluett guitars are made with a spruce top, and Mark will use high quality imported woods such as mahogany or koa wood for the back and body to craft the sound that you are looking for.
